Season 2 Episode 30: War Buddies

Welcome back to the First World Podcast.  Since real life has been so hectic and crazy lately, we ended up doing a short(er) episode at the new Studio 1-C.  We have been sentimental since we haven't had our buddy Greg around for the past few episodes, so we decided to talk about the social component of gaming and how it is now a culture, and not just something that you do to pass time.  Heath beat South Park: The Stick of Truth, and really enjoyed his time there.  Madison played some more Nestalgia, but got her brain busted in Braid.  Dan, like every good addict fell back into his Pokemon k-hole, and in this episode he explains how to get Shiny Pokemon.  We wrap up the episode with a quick recommendation round about what games are super fun with people around.

Some games are more of a friendship test....

Season 2 Episode 29: Live @ the Livery

Welcome back to a very crazy episode of the First World Podcast.  Because we had been pushing the chiptune show on Saturday night at the Livery, we decided to record the whole episode there. The show is live, and we aren't really set up to record live music easily, so  the show is a tad noisier than our normally sonic-smooth selves.  We had a quick Now Playing segment, where Heath talks about South Park Stick of Truth, Mads talks about Nestalgia, and Dan talks about the Wonderful 101. We grab a quick interview with Josh and Mike from Dream Fox, and the First World Podcast's very own Heath Aldrich to talk some chiptune stuff.

Check out the bands and show them some love.

Season 2 episode 28: Birthday Suit

Welcome back to the First World Podcast. IT IS DAN'S BIRTHDAY!!! So, we are going to talk Nintendo.  Greg hurt his back, so we brought in a secret weapon, Dan's friend Derek Carson.  Madison surprised us by playing Skyrim, and she didn't like it very much, but she did like Mickey Mouse and the Castle of Illusion. Derek was in a co-op mood, so he picked up Rayman Origins and liked it. Heath beat Dark Souls 2, and then started South Park and the Stick of Truth.  Dan found his mouse clicking muse with the Diabloesque Torchlight II.  We wrap up the episode with a new segment called Lesson Learned, where we talk about what life lessons we have taken from some of our favorite games.

The only party I've ever needed

Season 2 Episode 27: Con-Troll Issues

Welcome back to the First World Podcast.  This week we talked about communication between developers and the fans.  Heath continued his descent into Dark Souls 2, and then took a break from that to play Mercenary Kings on the PS4. Dan dusted off his Vita and played Thomas Was Alone.  Greg finally made it through the expansion of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls.  Madison dug in deeper into Saints Row 4, and spent all Saturday at St Louis Wizard World Comic Con.  We wrap up the episode with a triumphant return of the Triple Barrel Shotgun Round!!!  This week we ask the question;  What moble or portable game you like to see as a full blown game?  Let us know in the comments below, or on our Facebook.

If you have some money to spare, please consider throwing a couple bucks to help my friends sick dog Kira https://fundly.com/kira-s-medical-fund  She is a really sweet dog and it makes me sad that she is sick.

Season 2 Episode 26: Crowded House

Welcome back to the First World Podcast.  This week, with the recent sale of Oculus Rift to Facebook, we figured that it would be a good time to talk about crowdfunding.  Here is a list of successfully funded Kickstarters that have been failures, or didn't come out.  Heath and Dan talk about the online play on Dark Souls 2.  Greg beat Diablo 3 again, only this time, he beat it by himself, and get this, he did it on hard mode.  Madison started Saints Row 4, and played the Conception 2 demo.
